Just before handover, the Site Supervisor will contact you to make an appointment for the final inspection of your new home. You will be required to make your final payment, including any variations and provisional sums that need to be adjusted. Once received, the keys to your new dream home will be handed to you. What takes place during the development application proces

Every single lovcal council, home, and DA is unique. Although this list does not cover all possibilities, it has been prepared to give you a general idea of what will happen throughout the DA approval procedure.

Prelodgement
The initial 'front-end' of the process involves providing your council with all required information including, costings, planning controls, site analysis and more.
Lodgement
Lodging the DA after all necessary forms are completed.
Assessment
Council inspects the site and application.

Construction Certificate

Custom home building and construction process

This preliminary planning stage includes determining your project's objectives. After determining which council rules must be followed and the drawing of the first drafts of the design has been completed, a concept design for your consideration will be provided.
The creation of the design will commence while incorporating your input. After providing a timetable of planned quality materials, consultation feedback will be provided, followed by approval for the design and drawings and the confirmation of council requirements.
After obtaining DA / CDC approval, you will be required to sign a Housing Industry Association (NSW) Building Contract and pay a Commencement Fee of 5% less than any design fees already paid. Your financial institution's authorisation is required.

What is the building process like?

When knocking down and rebuilding, construction will begin after demolition; when building a new house, work will start 14 days following the contract's signing. Experienced Site Managers will oversee this stage of your project.
